Counseling & Therapy Services
“I'm a mental health counselor, professor, and gamer. I put these together to help people meet their goals and ‘level up’ in life.”
Dr. DaSambiagio-Moore maintains a small private-practice outside of his primary work as a mental health counseling professor, Crimson Counseling & Consulting, LLC. Unlike his last name, Chris’s approach to helping people and organizations can be written simply: (1) help people identify the root of their distress, (2) encourage them to learn new ways to cope, accept, and make meaning of those events, and (3) empower them to form a plan of action that helps them move forward.
Beginning counseling can seem like an intimidating and overwhelming process. The most important thing to know is that counseling can be a space to explore and accept symptoms and concerns, identify their roots, and develop a plan towards resolution that is meaningful to you. Through counseling, my clients often report forming new meanings and new relationships with their symptoms, having greater insight into the source of the distress, and an increased toolkit for managing or resolving them.

Dr. DaSambiagio-Moore is a provider of both in-person and telehealth/distance counseling services. There are potential benefits and challenges to both modalities.
At present, in-person sessions are only available at the Florence, Alabama location. Telehealth remains a viable option for eligible clients throughout the State of Alabama.
Not all clients are appropriate for distance counseling services based on the presenting needs. An assessment related to the potential benefits and risks, structure, location, and frequency of counseling will take place in the initial consultation and will be ongoing throughout the counseling process.
All telehealth clients must be in the State of Alabama at time of services being rendered.
Dr. DaSambiagio-Moore has received extra training in distance counseling and is Board Certified as a Telemental Health Counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
